Delivering a fire engine to Gambia - the hard way. Darren Leonard described various challenges that befell them – breakdowns in France where they received help from the French Fire Brigade, delays in Spain, customs in Morocco, and sandstorms in the Sahara. The Engine was handed over to the Gambia Fire Brigade and a lot of camping equipment was given to the Scouts. Leonard reported that the brigade commander had contacted him to describe how the engine had been the only one able to get to a fire where 40 people were saved. Click here for the full story.
